Swim Team Rules

PRACTICE:
Attend as many practices as you can. If you really want to improve, practice is the place to be.

1. Be on time.
2. Listen to the coaches when they are talking. PAY ATTENTION.
3. No horseplay in between sets. (This may get you removed from the practice).
4. Go to the bathroom before or after practice.
5. DO THE BEST YOU CAN EVERY DAY. Learning how to swim each stroke correctly is the goal, give them all a try. Don’t get frustrated, practice is the way to get better.

MEETS:
Your attendance at meets is crucial to the team doing well. We only have 4 dual meets, plan on attending all of them.

1. If you are going to miss a meet, you need to sign out a minimum of 3 days in advance, preferably more. The coaches spend about 4 hours putting together a meet line-up. Any last minute changes can really mess things up. We would appreciate your help with this.
2. STAY WITH THE TEAM AT MEETS. The other swimmers on the team need your support. Also, we need to know where you are so we can line you up. Parents, please be aware of where your swimmer is at ALL times and when they are swimming next. There is no excuse for missing an event.
3. INFORM the coaches before you leave a meet. We need to know if you want to leave early so that we can plan relays accordingly.
4."Horsing around" during meets will NOT be tolerated. You are expected to cheer for your teammates and be part of the meet. "Horsing around" could cause you to be removed from the rest of a meet, miss the next meet etc.
5. LET THE COACHES KNOW ANYTIME YOU ARE LEAVING THE POOL AREA (i.e. going to the bathroom, snack bar etc.) so we know where you are.

PARENTS:
Your most important job is to have your swimmers ready for practices/meets and to be supportive of your athletes. If you have questions or concerns please wait until after practice is over or during a down time at practice. Other than that you may call, or email Heather with any of your concerns 610-500-1369.

Thank you for understanding and following the above rules. Hopefully they will make all of our lives run a little smoother during this fast-paced season.
